On this episode of The Social Work Bubble Podcast, we are joined by Eyesha Shaikh to dive into the social determinants of health with vulnerable populations & how social workers can use advocacy to support these clients!

Eyesha Shaikh is currently pursuing her Masters in Social Work at George Mason University. She has a variety of experience working in a plethora of healthcare settings including hospitals, urgent and primary care, community services board, etc. She recently finished her first placement at the Mason and Partners clinic providing resources to the vulnerable population at a free clinic. Eyesha will be starting her MSW program’s final year and completing a field placement at the D.C Children’s hospital working in the cystic fibrosis unit of the ICU. She has a strong passion for working with children in medical settings to network and positively impact my community. As a future social worker, she hopes to continue learning new skills that she can use to excel in her career and grow in the healthcare profession.
